Senator Boswell joined his federal colleagues, Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries Senator Richard Colbeck and Senator Barnaby Joyce at a Community Fishing Forum hosted by the Member for Longman Wyatt Roy.  The Forum discussed Labor Government plans to extend the green “no fishing zones”.  Senator Boswell said that fish do not respect lines on maps, and that there is a view among prominent Marine Scientists, such as Professor Bob Kearney and Professor Ray Hilborn, that Marine Parks do not work. “Australia has a world-leading record in fisheries management and we should not cut off a major food source such as the Coral Sea.”
