Senator Boswell joined Reverend Bishop Brian Heenan to officially open Centacare's Central Highlands facility. The new facility provides Catholic social service provider, Centacare with housing for their entire central highlands operations, including the Domestic Violence Service of Central Queensland, in one central facility. The Federal Government provided $170,000 through it Regional Partnerships programme to assist Centacare with this sensible project.
Inspecting the site of the proposed upgrade of the Blackwater Sports Complex with local Councillor, Kev Cracknell, Council Deputy CEO, David Charlton, and CQACC Board Member, John Engwicht, Senator Boswell said that he appreciated the need for further improving sporting facilities in Blackwater.
