Rudds ETS will be further examined or opposed outright by both the National and Liberal Parties following the election of Tony Abbott as Opposition Leader today, said The Nationals Senator Ron Boswell. Senator Boswell paid tributes to the thousands of Australians who had contacted Parliamentarians expressing concern over Rudds ETS. Today is a victory for grass roots democracy. I want to thank all those people who knew that the full story on the ETS was not being told by the government and its spokespeople. Depending on how the votes go in the Senate, they will have played a huge role in mobilising political opinion against the ETS.
