Voters looking to park their Senate vote with the Greens risk electing candidates with hidden extremist policies, warned The Nationals Senate Leader, Senator Ron Boswell today. Look beyond the tree hugging to the real agenda and track record of the Greens. The Greens social values do not represent the majority of Australians. Queenslanders would not in general support free gay, lesbian and transgender support services for students as young as 13. Queenslanders would not stand up in the Senate and criticise Australia for helping Israel against the terrorist group Hezbollah. The Greens have said that they would work towards responsible alternatives to cannabis prohibition, including regulation of cultivation and sale to adults with appropriate legal restrictions and health warnings. Most Queenslanders do not believe there is a responsible alternative to cannabis prohibition. Queenslanders would also not support laws telling farmers what and where to farm. Queenslanders would not support changing exceptional circumstances drought funding to prescribe some farming practices. The Greens want a national framework of laws to manage recreational and charter fishing. This would be with the aim of shutting down as much coastline as possible. Most Queenslanders want areas like Moreton Bay to stay open to recreational fishing. Most Queenslanders would not want to immediately halt the exploration, mining and export of uranium or prohibit the exploration and mining of areas described vaguely as of nature conservation value that could mean anything. We are a resource rich state. If Queensland stopped mining, farming and fishing, there wouldnt be many jobs or businesses around. That doesnt matter to the Greens. As their Leader, Senator Brown said:-to suddenly ban coal exports would be massively dislocating but we have got to do it and we have to do it within a period [a three-year term] of government. The Greens are part of an international Green group that wants to reduce the transport of goods around the world and abolish the World Trade Organization, both of which are key to our trade and overseas market access. Queenslanders do not want us to stop exporting. The Greens would go to jail for a tree while sending mining, farming and fishing families to the bankruptcy courts. The Greens want doctors to prescribe heroin and cannabis. They want marijuana to grow in the backyard next to the hills hoist. This is how they would green Australia. The Greens also oppose tax cuts for Australian families. They opposed the tax cuts in the 2006 budget where Mr Costello handed out $37 billion in tax cuts. The Greens bizarrely described the intervention to save indigenous children in the Northern Territory as part of US President George Bushs grand nuclear plan for the planet. The Greens totally ineffectual economic policy as stated by Leader Bob Brown on Lateline this week, is to export solar technology to China and India instead of coal.
